It’s been really busy since the start of June with both the British nationals and the World Series race over in Emmen in the Netherlands.
The British nationals saw some good racing and I walked away with two silvers - in the road race and time trial.
Emmen was last weekend. It was very tough but rewarding. The temperature was in the late 20s with a 16 kilometre time trial on Friday and a 64 km race on Saturday - so not much time for recovery for the riders. I came 12th in the time trial - only two places off the top 10 in the world - and finished 15th in the race. It was very tough going but I pushed the boundaries to complete it, averaging 37 kmph.
I’ll be back with more next month.
All the best,
